Aum has always been the forerunner in the country adopting innovative technology, in Agro Oil Extraction and Refining, especially in the Separation Field for Heat Sensitive products. Distillation for Liquids and Pastes and Temperature Controlled Drying for heat-sensitive products in Powder form are few of the areas of operation. In the Vegetable Oil Extraction line, Aum has designed the unique Distillation System to distill oil from Hexane. This is a short contact time distillation technology where the oil undergoes heating and separation of less than 2 minutes to get the oil totally distilled and free from solvent at a temperature of not more than 85oC. The oil thus distilled is found superior in colour having high bleachability properties. The raw oil thus produced will improve the yield and save in the subsequent refining process.
Aum has been the First to design a Continuous Double Solvent Miscella Refining Plant to refine high FFA oils like Rice Bran Oil and specialty Oils like Mango Seed Oil, Sal Seed Oil, Mowah Oil, etc. The above process involves careful design in handling Polar and Non-Polar solvents together, liquid mixing, partition technology and liquid liquid extraction technology. Though the process is generally meant for Speciality Fats and high FFA fat refining, Aum has developed identical processes in the Pharmaceutial and Phytochemical industries for the purpose of concentration of the active principle in an extract.
Aum has designed various types of Solvent Recovery Systems incorporating Absorption, Thermal Swing & Pressure Swing, Adsorption - combined and individual, catering to different types of volatile gases from Vent gas of various Chemical Plants.
Aum has designed a unique Solvent Water Separation Unit for Oleo-Resin Plants, which can handle different types of Solvents individually or in combination which could be separated from water continuously with no manual operation required except when the type of Solvent is changed.
Aum has designed a unique Steam Distillation Unit for Steam Distillation of Plant material of a Continous type attached to a Fractional Distillation Tower which ensures total recovery of volatile oil with high purity and reduced energy requirement for distillation

Aum has the Know-how in high pressure filtration of Pressing technology for areas such as dry oil fractionation required for specialty fats and also low temperature expression for removing the oil from Castor seed, Sal seed, and Rice Bran to produce Specialty oils.

Aum has developed a unique technology of Continuous Process to defeat the spent Catalyst and spent Bleaching Earth and recovery of the fat.
